Eames DSW Chair Without Arms, 1948
The DSW (1948)chair, the side chair with the four legged base.The design of this Eames DSW Chair was first presented in 1948 at the Museum of Modern Art's competition 'Low cost furniture design' in New York. It was the first mass-produced chair made of fibreglass reinforced.
Eames DSW Chairs were first presented as part of a New York Museum of Modern Art competition, "Low Cost Furniture Design". Their organically shaped seat shells were later combined with various different bases and manufactured in their millions. In their latest version made of fiberglass, the armchairs now offer even greater sitting comfort.
